May. Shrubby New World species and cultivars eg. Microphylla,greggii, xjamensis, also ‘Cherry Queen’ ‘Silas Dyson’ ‘Purple Queen’

June All of the above plus S.blepharophylla and S.buchananii

July All of the above plus S.patens and S. guaranties ‘Blue Enigma’, S. involucrata S. ‘Silkes Dream’

August All of the above plus S.fulgens, S. ‘Indigo Spires’ S. ‘Black Knight’ (spelled wrong in my list!) S. corrugata

September All of the above plus S. splendens cvs. S. leucantha

October All of the above until frost terminates the more tender forms

November Shrubby New World Species outdoors. Tender and half-hardy species will continue the display throughout the winter months if brought into a conservatory or frost free greenhouse.
